About me

I am a writer and PhD candidate at Deakin University in Geelong, Victoria. My writing has appeared in The GuardianGriffith Review, Kill Your Darlings, Overland, Island Magazine, Crikey and elsewhere. In 2020 I was the recipient of the Tina Kane Emergent Writer Award, administered by the Mildura Writers' Festival, the Deakin University Community Bank Literary Award, and shortlisted for the Peter Carey Award.

Prior to commencing my PhD I was the Publishing Officer at UWA Publishing in Western Australia. I am now the Assistant Manager at Geelong's only independent bookshop, The Book Bird.

Soapmy debut collection of poetry, was published by Recent Work Press in 2017.
