About me

I am a writer and PhD candidate at Deakin University living in Geelong, Victoria. My writing has appeared in The GuardianGriffith Review, Kill Your Darlings, Overland, Island Magazine, Crikey and elsewhere. I have interviewed and been a panellist at Perth Writers Festival, the Word for Word Non-Fiction Festival, Margaret River Readers and Writers Festival, the Emerging Writers Festival and National Young Writers Festival. In 2020 I was the recipient of the Tina Kane Emergent Writer Award, administered by the Mildura Writers' Festival.

Prior to commencing my PhD I was the Publishing Officer at UWA Publishing for four years. In this role I handled author care, communications, marketing, branding and general operations. I am now a bookseller and Event Manager at Geelong's only independent bookshop, The Book Bird, and regularly review titles on the bookshop's website.
